Il Divo Comes to the Trump Taj

Il Divo is a concept which originated from music exec and TV producer Simon Cowell. Cowell became inspired listening to operatic performers, particularly Andrea Bocelli, and decided to form a quartet of male performers in the same vein. The members of Il Divo came together through a global talent search by Cowell and company to find the best unsigned operatic performers in the world. Urs Buhler, Sebastien Izambard, David Miller, and Carlos Marin came together to form what would become Il Divo from several different nations; Switzerland, Spain, United States, and France.

Il Divo has great success with the release of several full length “Top 10” albums and hit DVD’s. They took part in “Streisand: The Tour”, which was the second highest grossing tour of 2006 featuring none other than Barbara Streisand.  There is no doubt that Il Divo is quickly living up to their name, which is Italian for “celebrity.”

Blink 182 Live At Borgata Events Center - Atlantic City, New Jersey

Since 1992 Blink 182 has been creating and performing music their own way. It has been about their fans since day one, never about making radio hits or top MTV music videos…But their fans made that happen. SEATING TIP:  There are 2 types of seats, the floor seats and riser in the events center.  I’ve paid big money to be in the first 3 rows of the floor seats, however, I found really affordable seats in the Risers between row c and p and enjoyed the show much more.  Sound quality is awesome, easy access to bar and restrooms, just a more relaxed seating arrangement!

PARKING TIP AT BORGATA: I normally valet park for ease of access, however, getting your car after the show can sometimes take 1/2 to 1 hour of sitting in an underground room!  Here’s the plan:  Park in the Surface Lot, the entrance is to the right of the Valet Entrance it will say “Surface Lot”.  This way you have easy access to your car with no lines and if you forget something you can go out and get it, LOL.

The Borgata Events Center is a great place to watch a concert.  The two main types of seating are the floor (all one level) and the Riser which is elevated seating in the rear of the center.  Many concert goers enjoy the risers, more comfortable seats, easy access to bar and bathrooms, elevated above the floor seating for a better view and the sound is perfect.

It may be good idea to lock in tickets quickly as they are completely sold out and the inventory of secondary market tickets is going fast.

Block Party Announcement for Sunday August 23, 2009!  Johnny X the owner of the Ducktown Tavern located 1 block from Boardwalk Hall on the corner of Georgia and Atlantic ave’s will host the second annual Jimmy Buffett Atlantic City Block Party.  The entire street from Boardwalk Hall to Atlantic Ave will be blocked off.  The Ducktown Tavern will offer plenty of great food and ice cold beverages in an outdoor setting.  Johnny X purchased a Fire Truck and pimped it out with LCD Tv’s and several Kegerators that allow for 10 different types of draft beer to be poured via a tap on the side of the truck.  The converted fire truck is shiney black with the logo of Ducktown Tavern on it!  Johnny says “come on down and party with us, we gaurantee you’ll have one of the most memorable tailgate experiences ever!”.
